Methods of application and doses

Piracetam is entered intramuscularly and intravenously, since 2 — 4 g, quickly bringing a dose to 4 — 6 g a day. At sharp states intravenously struyno or by infusion from 3 — 4 g (to 12 g) in days.

At a stroke — 12 g a day within 2 weeks, the supporting dose of 4,8 g a day,

at long therapy of a psychoorganic syndrome at elderly patients — 4,8 g a day within several weeks, then 1,2 — 2,4 g a day.

At treatment of comas, in the post-traumatic period the initial dose of 9 - 12 g/days supporting — 2,4 g, a course of treatment — 3 weeks.

At a kortikalny miokloniya treatment there begin with a dose 7,2 g/days each 3-4 days a dose increase by 4,8 g/days before achievement of the maximum dose of 24 g/days 2-3 times a day, inside or parenterally. Each 6 months it is necessary to reduce a dose by 1,2 g each 2 days.
